Getting up at six thirty is never a easy thing for me. As my alarm goes off I slam the snooze button and continue to sleep. Within a few minutes later I hear my mom coming into my room, shaking me to get up. After her obnoxious shaking, I roll out of my most comfortable bed and stumble my way to the bathroom. I love the heat from showers, so I never want to get out. Within fifteen to twenty minutes, my dad yells through the door screaming, "T, hurry up I need to get ready for work." After telling him, "Alright, alright I'm done", I go into my room and blow dry my hair. Now picking out a outfit is always such a dilemma, but today I ended up with just a pair of jeans and a cute sweater my mommy got for me. As always were running late, so I have to shove my breakfast down my throat and run around the house looking for my backpack.
My mom drops me off at school, and before I go line up, I see my best friends all hanging around. After gossiping to them about certain boys and if we did our homework last night, the school bell rings and we go and line up. We walk in, put our coats and backpacks on our hooks, and sit in our decks. Everyone's is different and unique. My, like always, is organized and clean. Our teacher, Mrs. Cox, greets us with her warming smile and charm. She is telling us what the lesson plans our for this morning and afternoon and also to remind us that we have health/p.e. today. I'm always excited to hear this because I love p.e. and I have the biggest crush on my teacher, Mr. Currow. We always start every class morning with a quote, today was "Be the best you can be" and then we go over the homework. This morning of lessons were extremely boring, as we had to finish our readings and take a spelling test, but it all got better when Mrs. Cox told us to go line up for p.e. After lining up, we walk down to the gym and notice Mr. Currow as set the gym up to play kickball. Before we could get into teams, we had to run continuously around the gym for five minutes. I don't mind this, but every time we do run someone has to complain, expectually the boys. We finish running and split into two teams; boys vs. girls. After playing for about half an hour, the girls dominated the boys, finally! It has been taking us quiet a long time. As were all sweaty and thirsty, we line up again and head back to the classroom. I'm starving, good thing lunch is in a hour. My mommy packed my lunch today; peanut butter and jelly, grapes, cheetos, and money for milk.
My favorite time of the day would have to be lunch. As my class walks into the cafeteria, you get an insist smell of whatevers cooking in the kitchen. You can see fifty or so students, scarfing away their lunch in a way where it looks like they haven't eaten in days. As me and my friends sit down and eat, the lunch ladies, come around watching us, making sure were not doing anything were not suppose to do. Ugh their so mean and have horrible odor. After we finish up, we go outside for recess. My friends and I mainly swing on the swings or play basketball with the boys, only if they let us. After a half an hour of fun, we go back inside and Mrs. Cox reads to us. She always does! In the afternoon lessons we work on math, which I'm a pro at, and work on our science projects. Within a couple hours of work, it is finally time to clean up and go home. Yay, I'm so excited when school is done for the day. Unfortunately, today my mom could not pick me up from school, so instead, I'm going over to my friends house.
Finally around five, my mom picks me up. When we got home I started on my homework as my mom picks up the house and starts cooking dinner. I hope it is spaghetti and meatballs, that is my favorite. Shortly after my dad arrives from work and we all sit down for dinner, and yes is it spaghetti night! I help my mom clean up, and I even offered to put the dishes away, something I hardly do. Then me and my family gather around the living room watching our favorite TV show, Friends. I gossip to my mom about school and I play board games with my dad, and soon enough its around nine o'clock. Time for me to go to bed! After getting ready for bed, my mom tucks me in, says a little prayer, kisses me on the forehead, and within a few minutes I am out. This is just a typical day in the life of a ten year old!
